You should be especially aware of robberies. Also it is an unknown place, unknown people, maybe language is different, so you can be lost. Most parts of the world are very safe for travelers. However if you are a traveler you should be aware of these safety tips for your own good.
1. Research about countries
Before you travel, research is very important. Be aware of the country you are going to travel. It is really important to know about the culture. You should know about what you are not supposed to do. If you can behave as locals you are much safer. Especially be aware about your outfits. As an example there are some countries where walking topless prohibited for both sexes.
The next thing is before you go anywhere search on google map. Be aware about shops, bus stops, other transportation etc. Also it is really important to see the street view. So you will probably not gonna lose.

This is a really important fact. Normally when we are travelling we bring very expensive cameras and other stuff. So keep them near you. Also your bags, luggage must be kept very close to you. Cross body bags are very safer than handbags and backpacks. When you are travelling for a long time you can use them as a pillow. Or else you can lock it to a seat using a thin cable. If you are using a backpack bring travel locks and use them. Don’t wear expensive jewelries, otherwise you will be directly targeted for robbery. We are travelling to enjoy ourselves. But when you are travelling in an unknown country it is not suitable to have too much drink. Especially when you travel at night. You can get lost and easily target for scams, robberies, or worse. So drink up to your limit. Or else there should be at least one person who is not drinking.
4. Be smart about your money
It is not clever to bring lots of money when you are travelling. You can make accounts in international banks or credit card companies. So you can withdraw money from local ATMs. Always try to get money from ATMs which are attached with banks, it is much safer.
Also it is important to hide emergency cash. Don’t hide them all in one place. You can hide them in several places like, secret pocket sew in your pants, behind a patch of your bag etc. if only left small money with you, you can ask emergency money from your friends and family members via Western Union and Money-gram transfers.

It is really important to record emergency service numbers and other information before you face trouble. You can use your phone to store them. Also write them down in a notebook or else you can write them in a paper and laminate it to protect it from moisture and put it in your purse. Before you go to a country be aware of reputable transportation companies in those countries. If there are any apps, download and use them. Always use google maps while you are travelling. 7. Keep in touch with your family and friends
In the morning give an update about your day’s plan to your family or friends. If there are any changes in your plans let them know about it. Always try to communicate with your closest ones. If you feel something wrong even send a text message and let them know. So if they don’t hear anything from days, they will help you as immediately they feel wrong. So it is very important to keep in touch with your loved ones.
