Basic first aid you should know in everyday life

A first aid is basically a treatment for a person who has been sick or injured until he or she receives the full treatment. This is really important. Maybe through this first aid knowledge you will be able to save a life. So in our day to day life it is important to know basic first aid. It will be a help for your family member or another person. 

1. For cutting injuries

This is the most common kitchen accident. Also it can happen outside. The main focus of a cutting wound is to stop the bleeding. If a small cut, the bleeding stops quickly. But if there is a deep cut you can pressure it by gauze or a piece of clean cloth over the wound, then you can stop the blood flow. If it is a serious cut and you need to get treatment from doctors, it is important to stop the blood transfusion until it is treated. Blood transfusions can also threaten a patient’s life.

This is a common incidence. If a person is told about it before he falls off, you can help the person by laying him down on a flat surface as soon as possible. But if he falls down, first you need to see if there is any hurt. Otherwise, just lay him down on a flat surface and let breathe clean air. Get rid of the crowds around. Adjust the soles as they are above the body level. Loosen clothes and let his body cool down. Get some water to your hand and sprinkle his face. Do not try to give water to drink until it recovers.

Burning is a common hazard in everyday work. This can be small or large scale. In the case of a large scale burn, it is compulsory to bring an ambulance or other vehicle and take to the hospital for further treatment. But first aid can be remedied if it is a small burn. The first aid is to prevent burns on the surface of the skin from further damage. To prevent burning inside layers you should hold your burned place to flowing water. Hold it to flowing water for at least 20 minutes. If it’s a little burn, it’s done from there. Then you can apply cream for burns. Otherwise, the stuff like toothpaste can infect the wound and cause other major problems.

4. When something enters the eye

The only first aid you can make at this time is to wash your eyes with clean alkaline water. The eye is one of the most sensitive organs in our body. So putting liquid without medical advice can cause damage to the eye.

5. In a snake bite

This is a serious case that requires medical attention. But not all snakes are deadly toxins. The important thing is to keep the patient calm, otherwise can speed up blood circulation and even spread toxicity fast. Do not wash the wound around. From the leftover poison, the snake can be identified. The cure for snake bite is anti-poisoning. Therefore, poison identification is very important. The patient should be taken to a hospital as soon as possible. 

6. For breakages

If this is the case you should definitely refer to a hospital. But it is important to keep the damaged bone without damaging further along the way until it is treated. Don’t try to stretch the broken bone in any way. Wrap the broken area from the bandage by using wooden plates as the patient cannot move that place. By moving the broken bone can damage the inner muscles. Put an ice pack or cold cloth over it to cool the place and take the patient to the hospital as quickly as possible.
